Kanobe relies on fresh agricultural produce and celebrates artisans that use natural, traditional methods passed down for generations.

In our search for the finest ingredients, we have come to understand the significant barriers to organic certification facing those that already meet the requirements, or would like to transition to organic practices. These barriers keep smallholder farms and producers out of the organic ecosystem — and often not because their practice falls short, but because certification can favour scale.

The Kanobe Harvest Fund exists to remove that barrier. We sponsor education on organic farming, and we help farmers and producers navigate the certification process itself and meet its cost — drawing on our own legal and regulatory expertise as much as our funding.

Where a grower or producer already meets organic standards, certification is not a standard to reach. It is recognition of a symbiotic relationship with nature, often passed down for generations.
